Hey Marverine, thank you for sharing your honest perspectives. I freelance too and I can completely agree with your comments 100%!! Freelancing is not for the faint hearted and certainly takes a lot of polite persistence (finding work and chasing payments), self-care, self-awareness, planning organisation and networking skills and mindsets. I'm like you and have a paper notebook and diary which I love!... But for different work steams, 'to do' lists and reminders I have a trello board to help me manage all my random workstreams etc - it's a life saver I think!

Yes, I saw your pet shop boys insta post. I love Paul Weller - have seen him perform 8-9 times and love his music! Thanks for sharing and I look forward to reading your next edition :) Louise

HI Lou, gosh yes you know the difficulties of freelance life also. It's tough to handle but the more you plan and have things in place to ensure you try and stay motivated, try and save a bit as that safety net for the long wait on some invoices (!) and get out there and pitch yourself, the easier it gets. Love the fact you love a notebook too! I cannot move in my office for them. I get attracted by pretty covers, and so there are half-finished ones everywhere. It's like Christmas Day when I find an old one that still has some space in it. Do you have one for every different project? And as for Paul Weller - lurrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrve him. I was in love with The Jam when I was a little girl. Oooh those super-sexy basslines. You've seen him eight times! OK - next time he's touring, I wanna come with you xx
